Alumni Guest Lecture on “Exploring the Future Technologies: Robotics, Drones & 3D Printing”

The Department of Mechatronics Engineering of Paavai Engineering College organized an Alumni guest lecture on “Exploring the Future Technologies: Robotics, Drones & 3D Printing” on 30th March 2026 in Cute Hall. The session aimed to create awareness about emerging technologies like robotics, drones, and 3D printing from experienced alumni.

The event commenced with a welcome address by G.Nishanthini III MCT. Following this, M.G. Dhanishkar III MCT, introduced the resource speaker, Mr. S.Shanmugaraj, Founder, STEMix Academy, Kovilpatti.

Mr. S.Shanmugaraj was explained the real-world applications of these technologies in industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, and defence. He shared expertise and experiences to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical use.

He was Highlight key discussions and demonstrations related to robotics, drones, and 3D printing. Also showcase the importance of technological advancements in modern society.

Capture audience engagement and responses during the event. Promote awareness and interest in science and technology among the students. The interactive session witnessed the participation of around 65 students, who actively engaged by posing queries, which were effectively addressed by the resource speaker.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by A.Logeshkumar III MCT. The successful coordination of the event was led by Dr. D.R.P. Rajarathnam, HoD/MCT, and Mr. R. Arunbabu, Assistant Professor/MCT.

The guest lecture inspired students to consider interdisciplinary research and projects focusing on secure automation. Overall, the program strengthened the participant’s knowledge base and preparedness for addressing emerging technologies like robotics, drones, and 3D printing.
