The Department of Master of Computer Applications organized an Alumni Guest Lecture on the topic “Good Data, Great AI: “Building Reliable, Responsible & Trustworthy Intelligence” on 14.08.2026 at Cute Hall.
The session commenced with a Prayer Song rendered by Ms.V,Monika and Ms.A.Pooja second year MCA, which set a positive and welcoming atmosphere for the event.
The session began with a welcome address delivered by Ms.S.Haritha, second year MCA, who warmly greeted the gathering and highlighted the importance of the event.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, who emphasized that exploring the importance of our everyday lives – supporting education, healthcare, banking, scientific research, business, communication and public services. At the same time the rapid growth of generative AI and intelligent autonomous system has brought new concerns relating to misinformation. Research on trustworthy AI emphasizes the importance of human oversight.
Following this, Ms.M.Tharani, Second Year MCA, introduced the Alumni, Ms.Sneha Chandran, CDI Developer, Luman Data Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore.
The Keynote Address was delivered by the alumni Ms.Sneha Chandran on the topic “Good Data, Great AI: “Building Reliable, Responsible & Trustworthy Intelligence” She explained the fundamental concepts of Data responsibility in the AI. The real success of AI should not be measure only by how intelligent a system appears.
AI system may be powerful, fast and highly efficient, but if it produces inaccurate information. If our data is incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, biased, or poorly represented, even the most sophisticated AI system can produce unreliable results.
