Brainstorming Session on “From Paavai to Korea: Exploring Joint Research” Paavai Engineering College, Department of Bio Sciences, successfully organized a Guest Lecture and Brainstorming Session on “From Paavai to Korea: Exploring Joint Research” on 31 July 2026 from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. at Cute Hall. The programme aimed to inspire students and faculty members to explore international research collaborations and higher education opportunities with South Korea.
The programme was presided over by Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College. He welcomed the gathering and emphasized the significance of international academic partnerships in enhancing research, innovation, and global exposure for students and faculty members.
The Chief Guest, Dr. S. Kamala Kannan, Professor, Department of Biotechnology, College of Environmental and Biosciences, Jeonbuk National University, South Korea, delivered an insightful lecture on research opportunities, collaborative projects, innovation, and emerging trends in biotechnology. He highlighted the importance of international research collaborations and encouraged students to pursue higher studies and research in globally reputed institutions.
During the brainstorming session, students and faculty members actively interacted with the guest speaker by discussing research ideas, student exchange programmes, scholarship opportunities, and collaborative projects between Paavai Engineering College and Korean universities. The interactive session provided valuable guidance on developing innovative research proposals and strengthening global academic networks.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. R. R. Krishnamurthy, Director, Centre for Research, and Prof. Kamala Krishnamurthy, Centre Head – Paavai Innovation Forum. The event was convened by Dr. S. Kailash, HoD – Food Technology, Dr. M. Masilamani, HoD – Pharmaceutical Technology, and Dr. C. Nirmala, HoD – Biotechnology. Ms. S. Shifra, Assistant Professor, Department of Food Technology, served as the Faculty Coordinator and ensured the successful conduct of the programme.
Faculty members, research scholars, and students enthusiastically participated in the session. The programme concluded successfully with an inspiring message encouraging participants to strengthen international collaborations and pursue innovative research, truly reflecting the vision of “From Paavai to Korea: Exploring Joint Research.”
