The Department of Aeronautical Engineering of Paavai Engineering College in association with Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) organized a Guest Lecture on the topic of “THE FUTURE OF THE INDIAN DEFENCE SERVICES: OPPORTUNITIES, CAREERS AND CHALLENGES AHEAD” on 01.04.2023 at Cute Hall.
The welcome address was given by Hariharan L, Final year student from the Department of Aeronautical Engineering. Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal of Paavai Engineering College honoured the resource person with a memento, and the introduction of guest speaker was done by Navinkumar V, Final year student of Department of Aeronautical Engineering. Wing Commander. CHETTY SIDDHAN, M.COM, LLB (Retd Indian Airforce), Vice President, Air Force Association, Salem and Namakkal Chapter & Advocate, Salem, Tamilnadu was the resource person.
The resource person explained the significance of various sections of Indian Airforce, Defence Services such as Flying officer, wing commander to Air chief Marshal etc. Further he provided Opportunities, Careers and selection procedure of Indian Airforce through Short service commission(SSC) and Permanent commission and gave valuable tips on how to crack the service selection board (SSB) exams.
The Head of the Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Faculty members and Students participated in the session and benefitted. The vote of thanks was proposed by Kokila G, second year student of Department of Aeronautical Engineering.
