Guest Lecture on “AI in Cyber Defense for Modern Computing Systems”

The Department of Cyber Security organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “Data Analytics Made Simple: Accuracy, Insight and Result” on 28.03.2026.

The session began with a welcome address delivered by Nasiba Banu N,Third Year, Cyber Security, who warmly greeted the gathering and highlighted the importance of the event.

Following this, Mr V Jaivedhan, Second Year Cyber Security, introduced the Resource Person, Mr. JayaSuriya G, Founder and CEO of Cybernaut EdTech Pvt. Ltd., Karur, recognizing his expertise in data analytics and technological solutions.

The Keynote Address was delivered by DR. K Prabu, who explained how data analytics plays a crucial role in converting raw data into meaningful insights. He introduced students to essential cyber security concepts and demonstrated how security is crucial in the era of Information Technology and also the inevitability of data security.

K Prabu explained briefly regarding the concept of The CIA Triad:Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability.. Perimeter vs. Zero Trust: Explained the shift from traditional firewall-based “castle-and-moat” security to modern Zero Trust architectures where no user or device is trusted by default.

He also shared practical demonstrations related to Red Team, Blue Team, and their applications in the organization’s.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions and asking thoughtful questions to deepen their understanding of Cyber Defence and Ethical Hacking.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Brundha R, Second Year Cyber Security, who expressed sincere gratitude to the Management, Faculty Members, the Resource Person, and all participants for contributing to the success of the session.
