The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous) organized a guest lecture on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” on 15th July 2026. The programme aimed to create awareness among students and faculty members about the fundamentals of innovation and entrepreneurship and to encourage them to transform innovative ideas into successful business ventures.
The session was delivered by Mr. Pagutharivu Muthusamy, associated with iAgami, SurfaceInsight, B-Sec, Main Stream Tek, and TechoraNova, who served as the resource person. The programme was coordinated by Dr. T. Arunkumar, along with Mrs. S. Suganya and other faculty members.
Ms. N. Vijayasri, a fourth-year Biomedical Engineering student, delivered the welcome address. Ms. K. Muthukarpagam, a third-year Biomedical Engineering student, introduced the resource person and welcomed him to the programme.
During the session, the resource person shared valuable insights into innovation and entrepreneurship through practical examples and real-world experiences. He explained the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and highlighted how innovative ideas can be transformed into viable business ventures. He emphasized the importance of identifying real-world problems, understanding customer needs, developing innovative solutions, and creating value through entrepreneurial initiatives.
The session was energetic, interactive, and informative, encouraging students to think creatively, develop problem-solving skills, and explore entrepreneurial opportunities. It provided valuable insights into business development and motivated participants to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations with confidence.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. S. Velmurugan, a fourth-year Biomedical Engineering student of Paavai Engineering College. The Management, Director–Administration, Principal, and faculty members extended their valuable support and cooperation in making the event a success.
Overall, the guest lecture effectively enhanced participants’ understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship and inspired them to explore new ideas, develop practical solutions, and pursue entrepreneurial ventures.
