Guest Lecture on “Next-Generation AI: Deep Learning and its Real-World Impact”

The Department of CSE (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) successfully organized an online Guest Lecture on the topic “Next-Generation AI: Deep Learning and Its Real-World Impact” on 16th March 2026 07:00 pm to 08:30 pm. The session was conducted virtually and witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students of the department.

The event featured Dr. R.M.S. Parvathi, Dean and Head, Computer Science and Engineering, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, as the esteemed speaker. Drawing the session by sharing her professional journey in the field of Deep Learning and Next-Generation AI, explaining how she explored real-world AI applications to solve complex challenges across various industries.

The session commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. A. Libin Rajan, a Fourth-year CSE (AI and ML) student, who introduced the speaker and set the tone for the event. Dr. R.M.S. Parvathi highlighted the importance of continuous learning, experimentation, and adapting to rapidly evolving AI technologies.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, where students actively raised questions and explored various aspects of deep learning applications and career pathways. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. D. Priyadharshini, a Third-year CSE (AI and ML) student, who expressed gratitude to the speaker, organizers, and participants.

It provided students with a deeper understanding of deep learning techniques and the practical implementation of next-generation AI in real-world applications.
