The ceremony commenced on 07.04.2026 on a solemn and auspicious note with a Prayer Song beautifully rendered by Miss. B. Devadharshini and Miss. M.P. Abinaya Sri, both from the first year of the Food Technology department. Their melodious invocation filled the auditorium with positive energy and a sense of serenity.
Following the spiritual start, Miss. M. Rifana Farveen, a first-year student from the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department, delivered the Welcome Address. She warmly greeted the dignitaries on the dais, faculty members, and her fellow peers, setting an inviting and enthusiastic tone for the rest of the day.
The event reached its academic highlight with the Presidential Address delivered by the esteemed Principal of Paavai Engineering College, Dr. M. Premkumar. In his address, he motivated the incoming batch to embrace innovation, maintain academic discipline, and utilize the autonomous institution’s vast resources to build successful global careers.
Following the Principal’s address, the Chief Guest Address was delivered by Mr. Gopi S, Senior Manager at Canara Bank, Namakkal. Drawing from his extensive professional experience in the banking sector, Mr. Gopi shared valuable insights on financial literacy, leadership, and perseverance. He encouraged the students to stay adaptable in a rapidly changing economic and technological landscape, emphasizing the importance of hard work and integrity.
The formal proceedings concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. P. Santhosh Kumar, a first-year student from the Internet of Things (IOT) department. He expressed deep gratitude to the Chief Guest for his inspiring words, thanked the college management and Principal for their constant guidance, and extended appreciation to the organizing committee, faculty members, and students for making the event a grand success.
The function concluded with the National Anthem, leaving the freshers inspired and ready to embark on their engineering journey.
