Inter-Department Guest Lecture on “Unlocking Potential: The power of Medicines in Health Care”

The Department of Pharmaceutical Technology at Paavai Engineering College successfully organized an Inter-Department Guest Lecture on the topic “Unlocking Potential: The Power of Medicines in Health Care” on 9th April 2026 at Cute Hall from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Ms. Subhashree, III Year Pharmaceutical Technology student, who welcomed the gathering and briefly introduced the objective and significance of the guest lecture.

The session was presided over by Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal of Paavai Engineering College, Namakkal. In his presidential address, he emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary learning and encouraged students to actively participate in academic programmes, seminars, and guest lectures to enhance their professional knowledge and practical understanding of the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Hepsi Charles, Principal of Paavai College of Nursing and Research, was formally introduced by Ms. Rajasri, III Year Pharmaceutical Technology student, who highlighted the speaker’s academic achievements and contributions to the field of healthcare education.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Hepsi Charles, who presented an insightful and motivating lecture on the vital role of medicines in healthcare and the importance of integrated healthcare practices. She emphasized the significance of healthcare education, professional ethics, patient-centered care, and recent advancements in the medical and pharmaceutical fields.

During her address, she encouraged students to develop strong practical knowledge, communication skills, and a dedicated approach towards patient care, research, and lifelong learning. She also highlighted the growing opportunities and responsibilities of healthcare professionals in improving public health and quality of life.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Kavipriya, III Year Pharmaceutical Technology student, who expressed her sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest, Management, Principal, faculty members, and students for their valuable support and participation in making the event a success.

The event was effectively coordinated by Ms. Praveena, III Year Pharmaceutical Technology student, who served as the Master of Ceremony for the programme.
