A one day guest lecture on the title “LEAN CONSTRUCTION AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT” was organised by department of civil engineering Paavai Engineering college on 27.7.2019 at Kalam’s chamber.
The Chief guest was Dr.K.M.Nanthan, Planning Manager, Factories-south, Larsen & Toubro limited construction, Buildings and Factories. Miss.S.U.Sushma , second year student, Paavai Engineering College welcomed the gathering, Mr.S.Mohammed Faizal, final year student, Paavai Engineering College gave a brief introduction about the chief guest.Dr.K.M.Nanthan our Alumini Spoke elaborately about the Lean Construction Techniques. He explained the new approach to project management so that project gets finished in time, maximizing value and minimizing costs involved during construction, project maintenance, design, planning & activation.He imparted the knowledge in transforming design and construction. He explained the concept to reduce waste and increase the productivity and effectiveness in construction work.A good number of professors actively participated in program and were benefited. The queries from the students and faculties were effectively replied by the chief guest.
Finally the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr.P.Akshay, third year student and our one day guest lecture was successfully concluded.
