The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Internet of Things), Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous), successfully organized an online guest lecture titled “Impact of AI in the IT Industry” on 3 October 2026 at 11:00 a.m. The programme aimed to enhance students’ awareness of the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the IT industry, its emerging applications, and career opportunities. Students from the second, third, and final years of the CSE (IoT) department actively participated in the session and gained valuable insights into the evolving role of AI in the technological landscape.
The lecture was delivered by Mr. K. S. Sathyamoorthy, Quality Engineering Analyst, Infosys Limited, Chengalpattu. The session aimed to provide students with insights into the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence on the IT industry, including AI applications, automation, emerging technologies, industry trends, and the evolving skill requirements of IT professionals.
Mr. K. S. Sathyamoorthy shared valuable industry-oriented insights and practical perspectives on the adoption of AI in modern IT organizations. The session highlighted how AI is transforming various domains, including software development, quality engineering, software testing, automation, and business processes.
