The Department of chemistry was organized an online Guest Lecture about “NANOMATERIALS AND THEIR EMERGING APPLICATIONS IN MODERN ENGINEERING” on 12th March 2026 at 06.30 p.m. through the Microsoft Teams platform. The Resource person was Dr.A.Kumaravel, Associate Professor, PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Coimbatore. The welcome address and chief guest introduction was given by Mr.F.Kewin/Iyr CSE.
The objective of conducting the online guest lecture was to provide the knowledge among the students on nanomaterials, their unique properties and importance in modern engineering. To expose the students and researchers to recent developments and emerging applications of nanomaterials in engineering fields.
The outcome of the guest lecture is that the students gained knowledge on nanomaterials and their unique properties. The participants understood the emerging applications of nanomaterials in modern engineering. It is motivated participants to explore research opportunities in nanomaterials and interdisciplinary areas.
Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr.L.Poovarasan/Iyr CSE. Faculty members and about 260 students were participated in the meeting. The feedbacks were received from the students about the webinar for incorporation, if any.
