Paavai Engineering College Honoured for Record-Breaking Organic Gongura Cultivation on World Conservation Day

On the occasion of World Conservation Day, Paavai Engineering College was formally recognized for its outstanding achievement in organic cultivation. The Department of Horticulture, Puduchatram Block, issued an official Crop Certification Report for the successful cultivation of the tallest Gongura plant, measuring 9.7 feet in height.

The certification was authorized by Mr. Kavin, Assistant Director of Horticulture, and presented in acknowledgment of the institution’s innovative and sustainable farming practices.

The certificate was received by Er. U. Karthickeya, Lecturer, Farm Superintendent, and Paavai Organic Farming Coordinator, on behalf of the Department of Agricultural Engineering.

This achievement underscores the department’s commitment to promoting conservation-oriented agricultural innovations and environmentally responsible cultivation methods. The recognition stands as a milestone in the institution’s ongoing efforts toward agricultural excellence and ecological sustainability.
