Seminar on “Beyond the Circuit: New Realities, New Opportunities in EEE”

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a seminar on “Beyond the Circuit: New Realities, New Opportunities in EEE” on 19 August 2026 at Kalam’s Chamber. The seminar aimed to create awareness among students about emerging trends, technological advancements, career opportunities, and evolving professional requirements in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

The event began with a warm welcome by Ms.K. Harini, Third-Year EEE student. The gathering was addressed by Dr. K. K. Ramasamy, Director Administration, Paavai Educational Institutions, who emphasized the significance of continuous learning, innovation, and adapting to the evolving demands of the engineering profession. Dr.V.Velmurugan, M.E., Ph.D., Professor, Micro & Nanoelectronics, VIT, Vellore, was the distinguished resource person invited to deliver the seminar. He highlighted the changing landscape of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and emphasized the importance of adapting to emerging technologies and interdisciplinary developments. He provided valuable insights into new opportunities in advanced electronics, micro and nanoelectronics, smart technologies, automation, sustainable energy systems, and other emerging areas. He motivated students to strengthen their technical knowledge, innovation capabilities, problem-solving skills, and commitment to lifelong learning to meet the evolving demands of the engineering profession.

The Seminar provided students with a broader understanding of the new realities and opportunities beyond conventional electrical engineering. It motivated them to explore emerging technologies, develop industry-relevant competencies, and prepare themselves for successful careers in the rapidly evolving engineering and technology sectors.

The Seminar was organized by Professor and Head of the Department, Dr. G. Balaji, and coordinated by Mrs. M. Saranya and Ms. S. Srisujitha.

Ms.J. Kanisha, Third-Year EEE, introduced the Chief Guest, and G. Nithish, Third-Year EEE, delivered the Vote of Thanks.
