The Department of EEE has organized seminar on “Redefining Employability in Electrical Engineering” on 05 August 2026 at Kalam’s Chamber. The seminar aimed to create awareness among students about the evolving skill requirements, emerging technologies, and career opportunities in the field of electrical engineering.
The event began with a warm welcome from Ms. K. Shobika, a final-year student in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department. The gathering was addressed by Dr. K. Selvi, Dean academic, who highlighted the importance of developing industry-relevant technical and professional skills. Mr. V. Sasikumar, Founder and Managing Partner, Mikrosun Technology, Salem, was the distinguished professional invited to deliver the lecture. He highlighted the importance of employability skills, technical expertise, communication, teamwork, innovation, and lifelong learning in shaping successful electrical engineering professionals. He also shared valuable insights into emerging career opportunities in renewable energy, automation, electric vehicles, smart grids, Industry 5.0, and digital technologies, inspiring students to continuously enhance their technical knowledge and practical skills to remain competitive in the global job market.
The seminar provided students with a clear understanding of the changing expectations of the electrical engineering profession and motivated them to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
This Seminar was organized by Professor and Head of the Department Dr.G.Balaji and coordinated by Mrs.K.K.poongodi and Mrs. G.Umamaheswari.
Ms. M. Deepikasri, a final year EEE, introduced the chief guest and Ms. P. V. Indhumathi, a final year EEE, delivered the vote of thanks.
