“Technova 26 – Mini Project Expo

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Paavai Engineering College, in association with Electronics Club and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) organized a One Day Project expo on “TECHNOVA 26 – Mini Project Expo” on 29th October 2026, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM at Optical Laboratory (M304). The objective of the Project expo to enhance student’s to showcase their technical knowledge, creativity, innovation, and practical skills through mini-project demonstrations.

The presentation of the Vision, Mission, Programme Outcomes (PO1, PO2, PO3. PO4, PO5, PO11), and Programme Educational Objectives (PEO1,PEO2,PEO3) and PSO1,PSO2 of the Department was given by Mr. V Surendar, IV Year ECE-C. The Welcome Address was delivered by Ms. K Praveena, IV Year ECE-B, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, and students to the programme.

The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. R. Mohanapriya, Associate Professor and Head, Department of ECE, Paavai Engineering College. In her address, she emphasized the significance of online electronics simulation platforms and highlighted their applications in circuit design, programming, and sensor interfacing.

The Keynote Address was delivered by Dr. K. Senathipathi, who delivered the keynote address and motivated students to explore emerging technologies and develop innovative solutions. Students enthusiastically presented their projects based on technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Embedded Systems, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Wireless Communication, and Automation. The expo encouraged students to apply theoretical concepts to practical applications, enhance their problem-solving abilities, and develop technical and presentation skills. It also promoted teamwork, innovation, and healthy competition among participants. The projects were evaluated based on their innovation, functionality, practical applications, and technical presentation, making the expo an enriching learning experience for all.

The mini projects presented by the ECE students were evaluated by Dr. K. Senathipathi based on three major criteria: Innovation, Presentation, and Viva Voce. The evaluation focused on the students’ creativity, technical knowledge, practical implementation, and ability to explain their project concepts.

  1. Innovation: Projects were assessed based on the originality of ideas, creativity, uniqueness, technological advancements, and their potential to provide solutions to real-world problems.
  2. Presentation: Students were evaluated on their ability to explain the project objectives, working principles, design, implementation, and applications clearly and effectively. Clarity of explanation, confidence, and demonstration skills were also considered.
  3. Viva Voce: Students were assessed on their technical understanding, subject knowledge and ability to answer questions, problem-solving skills, and awareness of the technologies used in their projects.

Overall Evaluation:

The evaluation process helped identify innovative projects and encouraged students to improve their technical knowledge, communication skills, and confidence. The judges appreciated the students’ efforts, creativity, and practical application of engineering concepts.

Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, announced the prize winners of the TECHNOVA ’26 Mini Project Expo.
