The department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science organized an online workshop on 01.03.2025

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Paavai Engineering College successfully organized an online workshop on Power BI, providing students with hands-on experience in data visualization and analytics. The session began on a positive note with a prayer song by B.Tech (AI & DS) students, setting the tone for an engaging learning experience.

The inaugural session featured a warm Welcome Address by Ms. Abinaya S. (II Year, AI & DS), followed by the Presidential Address delivered by Dr. Raja M., M.E., Ph.D., Professor & Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. He emphasized the significance of Power BI in today’s data-driven world and its impact on decision-making. Ms. Devi Swathi S. (II Year, AI & DS) introduced the guest speaker, highlighting his expertise in data analytics and visualization.

The workshop’s highlight was the technical session led by Mr. T. Rajan, B.E., M.E., (Ph.D.), Assistant Professor (CSE) & Power BI Certified Professional from Presidency University, Bengaluru. His hands-on training session covered real-time data analysis, dashboard creation, and interactive visualizations, equipping students with practical knowledge of Power BI tools.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Brammavathi J.S. (II Year, AI & DS), who expressed gratitude to the speakers, faculty, and participants for their contributions to the workshop’s success. Key takeaways from the session included an in-depth understanding of Power BI fundamentals, hands-on experience in data visualization, insights into data-driven decision-making, and interactive knowledge-sharing opportunities.
