Department of Food Technology in association with Paavai Engineering college organized a seminar on “FOOD BASED BIO POLYMERS IN DRUG DELIVERY APPLICATION” on 27.08.2023 (Sunday) for third and final year students of food technology department. The resources person of the day Dr P Jayaraman illuminated the students about the Food based Bio polymers and drug delivery applications due to their biodegradability, biocompatibility, and potential for controlled drug release He insisted the properties of polymers with respect to metals and ceramics. He also gave a brief explanation on the application of polymers in the food industries and evolution of polymers in medical appliances. He also entitled the essence of drug delivery system. The students raised queries about the role of edible plastics and their future modules in Food Packaging Industry.
