The Youth Red Cross of Paavai Engineering College had organized an awareness Programme on “பாதையை மாற்றிடும் போதை ” on 18th March 2023 in Prestige Hall between 2.00 p.m to 4.30 p.m. Mr.S.Sathish YRC coordinator was the speaker. Dr.K.Selvi, Dean Academics gave the presidential address and enlightened on the awareness about drugs and its effects. She also added that life is a precious gift and not to involve ourselves in it.
YRC coordinator Mr.S.Sathish addressed the students and discussed the impact of drugs and effect of drugs consumption. He also explained the scientifical and psychological reason behind drug addiction. He elucidated the different ways to come out of it and the treatment methods available. He also explained the various laws implemented for the Tobacco usage.He also gave a statistical analysis of the mortality rate due to usage of drugs and tobacco.Queries were posted and clarified by the resource speaker. The vote of thanks was delivered by A.Lara Arulishiya from second year Pharmaceutical Technology. Mr.S.Sathish, YRC Coordinator, faculty members and 200+ students participated in the awareness programme on “பாதையை மாற்றிடும் போதை”.
