Paavai Engineering College organized a Talent Quest of India (TQI) Volunteer Training Programme on 29.08.2026 at Bright Hall. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of volunteering, moral values, social responsibility and effective interaction with school students. It also focused on developing leadership qualities, teamwork, communication skills and responsible volunteer practices among the participants.
The first session was handled by Mr. G. Ramasubramaniyan, Founder & Chief Listening Officer, Talent Quest for India (TQI), Chennai. He shared his personal experiences, challenges and struggles in building the TQI Club and highlighted the continuous support extended by Paavai Educational Institutions for the past 13 years. He explained the responsibilities of volunteers in conducting training programmes for school students and emphasised the importance of patience, kindness, effective communication and responsible behaviour. He highlighted that volunteering is not merely an activity but an opportunity to develop moral values, leadership qualities, empathy and social responsibility. He motivated the volunteers to become positive role models and contribute to the personal and educational development of school students.
The second session was conducted by Ms. S. Shurithika, Project Manager – ULLAS, Talent Quest for India (TQI), an alumna of Paavai Engineering College (Batch 2022–2026), Department of Information and Technology shared her TQI journey and explained how her involvement in TQI contributed to her personal and professional growth. She introduced the participants to the various TQI teams and their roles and provided practical guidance on volunteer coordination, team management and effective interaction with school students. Her session encouraged the participants to understand the importance of teamwork and active involvement in TQI initiatives.
The third session was delivered by Mr. J. Kishore, Finance Head, Talent Quest for India (TQI), an alumnus of Paavai Engineering College (Batch 2018–2022), Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering. He provided valuable insights into financial management in TQI activities, including planning, budgeting, responsible utilisation of resources, transparency and accountability. His session helped the volunteers understand the importance of proper financial planning and responsible resource management in successfully organising social and educational initiatives.
Overall, the TQI Volunteer Training Programme was informative, interactive and inspiring. The sessions provided the participants with valuable insights into volunteering, leadership, moral values, social responsibility, student interaction, team management and financial responsibility. The programme motivated students to actively participate in TQI initiatives and become responsible volunteers capable of positively influencing and guiding school students.
