Turnitin Instructor Training Session

The Turnitin Instructor Training Session was organized by Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous) on 12.06.2026 at 11.00 a.m. in Cute Hall under the guidance of Prof Dr.R.R. Krishnamurthy, Director, Centre for Research and Mrs. Kamala Krishnamurthy, Centre Head/PIF. The event commenced with the gathering of faculty members and participants interested in enhancing their knowledge of academic integrity and plagiarism prevention. The session aimed to provide hands-on training in the effective use of Turnitin, a leading plagiarism detection and academic writing support tool.

The welcome address was delivered by the organizing team, who warmly welcomed the resource persons and participants. The importance of maintaining originality in academic and research work was highlighted, emphasizing the role of Turnitin in promoting ethical scholarly practices.

The resource speakers for the session were Dr. M. S. Vijayanand, ASP/Mechanical Engineering, Dr. K. Thirumala Lakshmi, AP/ECE, and Mrs. M. Sivaranjani, AP/CSE, Paavai Engineering College. They shared their expertise on the various features and applications of Turnitin and demonstrated how instructors can effectively utilize the platform in teaching and research activities.
