On behalf of Department of Agriculture Engineering, Paavai Engineering College organized a one day Academic webinar on “An overview on Biomethane production by waste treatment” on 19th June, 2021. Ms.T.Dharanya, Final Year Agriculture Engineering welcomed gathered the webinar. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal , Paavai Engineering College delivered his presidential address on the occasion .He addressed that, need of agriculture aswell as Agriculture Engineers to the society.
Dr.Vivekanandhini Head of the Department organized a wonderful session and gave the valuble talk about the current scenario of Agriculture. Dr.P.Tamilchelvan Professor, Agri, introduced the Chief Guest and gave overview of the scope of Agriculture. Dr.R.DhivyaBharathi, Teaching Assistant, Department of Renewable Energy Engineering, Tamil nadu Agriculture University, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu was the guest of the honor. She explained in her presentation about the Biomethane Production by waste treatment – Optimum properties for biogas production-Food waste and Night soil based biogas plant. Also explained clearly portable food waste biogas plants and make clear General treatment process.
She explicate Process in Upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) reactor and showed Schematic diagram of UASB Reactor. She also suggested that students to develop employability skills, academic skills, personal attributes and knowledge about how organizations work. Faculty members and students enthusiastically participated in the program .The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms.T.Tharani final Year / Agri. The session was very instructive and motivating.
