The department of Mechatronics, Paavai Engineering College organized a one-day online webinar on “UNDERSTANDING AUTOMATION” on 23rdOctober 2021. Mr. Vithursan.S, finalyear B.E/MCT welcomed the participants. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, motivated the students to learn about the automation process, software used for automation and advised the students to gain knowledge related to automation. Ms. Tharani P, final year B.E/MCT introduced the chief guest.
Ms. Ashfin Desai, Senior Software Engineer in Accenture solutions PvtLtd., Bangalore. During the session, she clearly explained the definition for automation and also explained the advantage and disadvantage of automation and then she answered that why we are going for automation instead of manual work. She briefed about the types of automation software used in industries and also explained how software plays an important role in automation.
Finally, she explained the various tools used for automation like cucumber, selenium, protractor, TOSCA etc. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Jenish de dayter B, final year B.E/MCT. The webinar helped the students as well as staff in understanding the concept of automation deeply. The session was very informative and interesting.
