Workshop on “Electronics Circuit Simulation Using Tinkercad & Wokwi”

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Paavai Engineering College, in association with Electronics Club organized a One Day Workshop on “Electronics Circuit Simulation Using Tinkercad & Wokwi” on 10th October 2026, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM at R&D Laboratory (M307). The objective of the Workshop to enhance student’s hands-on skills in simulating electronic circuits and developing mini-projects using virtual laboratory environments without requiring physical hardware components.

The programme commenced with the Prayer Song rendered by the students. This was followed by the presentation of the Vision, Mission, Programme Outcomes (POs), and Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) of the Department by Ms. R.Vinotha, III Year ECE-C. The Welcome Address was delivered by Ms. Varshini, III Year ECE-C, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, and students to the programme.

The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. R. Mohanapriya, Associate Professor and Head, Department of ECE, Paavai Engineering College. In her address, she emphasized the significance of online electronics simulation platforms and highlighted their applications in circuit design, programming, and sensor interfacing.

The Keynote Address was delivered by Mr. S. Vijay Murugan, who introduced the students to the Wokwi online simulator and explained its key features and applications in embedded systems development. The hands-on session covered LED blinking experiments, program execution, and sensor interfacing using an Arduino microcontroller. Students gained practical experience in writing and testing programs, observing simulation outputs, and understanding the interfacing of electronic components with microcontrollers.

The session on Tinkercad simulation was handled by Mr. D. Satheeshkumar, who guided the students through the login and registration procedures and introduced the basic features of the Tinkercad platform. The practical demonstrations included LED blinking circuits, sensor interfacing, and the development of simple mini-projects. Students learned to design virtual circuits, connect electronic components, write programs, and verify circuit operation through simulation.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mrs. S. Usha, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Paavai Engineering College, who expressed her gratitude to the management, principal, Head of the Department, resource persons, faculty members, and students for their valuable contributions and active participation in making the event a success.

The programme was convened by Dr. R. Mohanapriya, Associate Professor and Head, Department of ECE, and coordinated by Mr. S,Vijayakumar, AP/ECE and Mrs. S.Usha, AP/ECE. The programme included participation of 48 students from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The session was mainly focussed covering the SDG4,SDG9,SDG11 and SDG12.
