The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a CSI Sponsored Three Days Workshop on “The SQL Edge: Hands-On Training” from 09.04.2026 to 11.04.2026 at Paavai Engineering College. The workshop was conducted with the objective of providing students with practical knowledge and hands-on training in Structured Query Language (SQL) and Database Management Systems (DBMS).
The workshop focused on introducing students to relational database concepts, SQL querying techniques, database operations, joins, aggregate functions, constraints, and relational database management using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
The event was conducted under the valuable guidance of Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College. The workshop was convened by Dr. D. Banumathy, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering.The workshop was organized under the guidance of CSI department coordinator V.Maheskumar Assistant Professor deparment of Computer Science and Engineering
The sessions were coordinated by R.Niranjana AP/CSE and R.Maheshwari AP/CSE and delivered by the resource person Mr.Bharath Kumar C, Software Engineer,Mr.M.Rahul,Senior software Engineer, Mr.Daniel Jayasurya,Full Stack Engineer, Mr.Vishanth Palanisamy ,Technical Lead who provided practical demonstrations and interactive technical sessions throughout the three-day workshop.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of IInd and III rd year including CSI member in CSE departments. The sessions combined theoretical explanations with practical implementations, enabling students to gain hands-on experience in SQL programming and database management concepts.
