A One Day Online Guest Lecture On “ADVANCEMENTS AND CHALLENGES IN COMPOSITE MATERIALS FOR AEROSPACE STRUCTURAL APPLICATIONS” was Organized by the Department of Aeronautical Engineering in association with Aeronautical Sector Skill Council(ASSC) on 10/08/2023 Between 2.30PM – 04.00 PM. Dr.R.Kousik Kumaar, Assistant Professor G-III, Department of Aeronautical Engineering, NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore was the guest speaker. The Director Administration, Dr.K.K.Ramasamy and the Principal Dr.M.Premkumar supported and guided for the conduct of the program. The webinar was convened by Professor & Head of the Department Dr.R.Arravind and co-ordinated by Assistant Professor Mr.K.Gokulnath .The welcome address and chief guest introduction was delivered by Ms.S.Dharshini, student of III year aeronautical engineering. Faculty members and students of actively participated in the webinar.
Dr.R.Kousik Kumaar elaborated on the concepts and practices involved in composite materials industry. He briefed about the various manufacturing techniques for aerospace composites. He also explained to the students the advanced concepts of fabrication and the challenges involved. In the end of the session, he answered the questions of the participants.
All the participated faculty members and students found the program to be very useful. At the end, Ms.B.Rithika of third year aeronautical engineering delivered the vote of thanks.
