A one day Alumni guest lecture on the title “Career Opportunities in Civil Engineering” was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering in association with Paavai Civil Engineering Association, Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous) on 26.09.2022. Mr.R.Surya, Final year student welcomed the gathering. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College delivered his presidential address on this event, he elaborated the importance of Civil Engineering profession in the world.
Mrs.K.Sharmiladevi, Head of the Department introduced the speaker and gave an overview about need of Civil Engineers for Innovation in Construction. Er.S.Vinothkumar B.E.,MBA, Managing Director, Om Sai Ram, Civil Engineer and Contractor, Coimbatore was the resource speaker. He briefed about the Multiple Job Opportunities for Civil Engineering students, various domains in Civil engineering and about project management. At the end of this Alumni guest lecture, the students have gained knowledge on Career Opportunities in Civil Engineering in various domains.
Faculty members and students have actively participated in the one day alumni guest lecture and queries from the students were effectively answered by the speaker.
Finally the session was successfully ended with a vote of thanks by Ms.J.Sugapriya, Final year student and around 97 students were participated. The session was very interactive and knowledgeable.
