YOUTH RED CROSS

YRC stands for Youth Red Cross, a group movement for students affiliated with the Indian Red Cross Society. It aims to encourage community service and humanitarian activities among youth. YRC volunteers engage in various activities like first aid, disaster management, health awareness, and blood donation. 

OBJECTIVES:

The primary objectives of the Youth Red Cross (YRC) are to promote health and safety, foster service and civic responsibility and develop national and international understanding and friendship among youth.

ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS:

  • Health and Wellness:Blood donation drives, hygiene promotion campaigns, HIV/AIDS awareness, and health camps. 
  • Community Service:Disaster relief efforts, literacy campaigns, and community development projects. 
  • Skill Development:First aid training, leadership training, and vocational skills training. 
  • Promoting Friendship and Understanding:Youth exchange programs, national integration camps, and awareness campaigns on communal harmony. 
  • Peace and Conflict Resolution:Promoting peace and harmony through various programs and activities.
