The department of Mechanical Engineering was established in 2004. The department offers Undergraduate Programme in Mechanical Engineering and Post graduate Programme in Engineering Design and Ph.D are offered from the year 2009. It is equipped with state-of-the-art workshops, laboratories and computing facilities. The department has highly qualified and experienced faculty members. The Department has been recognized as a research centre by Anna University. The faculty members actively engage in research and publish papers in International and National Journals. Guest lectures and industrial visits are periodically arranged for the students to enhance their curriculum. Employability Enhancement training and project works are given to students through Vertical Machining Centre. PAAVAI-HARITA TVS Core Engineering Research Laboratory offers Modeling and Analysis software courses like CATIA V5, Delmia V5 and 3D VIA. Our department has signed MoU’s with reputed companies to provide Industrial interactions to the students and Internships in renowned industries are provided through Internshala. The department strives for all round excellence of students by encouraging them to take part in all extra-curricular activities.
