Dr. P. Jayakumar, completed his graduation and Post graduation from Kandaswami Kandar’s College (Periyar University), Paramathi Vellore, M.Phil degree from Annamalai University, Chidambaram. He received Ph.D in General Topology from Govt. College of Arts and Science College (Periyar University), Salem-7. He began his career as Lecturer in Mathematics at Sapthagiri College of Engineering, 2002. Later he joined as Assistant Professor in Paavai Engineering College, 2007 and elevated to Head of the Department of Mathematics, besides incharge of various activities throughout the term. He held various positions and responsibilities include Chairman-Board of Studies, Central Valuation, Anti ragging Committee, Staff Redressal Committee etc.
His main research interests include: general area of research is General Topology, Closed Map in Topological spaces, Compactness in topological spaces, Continous functions, Closure and their applications. He has published 7 papers in various international Journals and Publication in international conferences and authored various Mathematical text books. He is an active Member in ISTE and IACSIT.
