Paavai Educational Institutions hold the record for the 6th consecutive time as overall championship in the state level judo competition. On behalf of Anna University, Tamilnadu state level judo competition was held at Paavai Engineering College, Namakkal. Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Educational Institutions presided over the Event. It was inaugurated by the secretary Mr.Arunagiri sathish of the Tamilnadu Judo Association. 90 students from 35 colleges participated in this event. Paavai Engineering college students won 4 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals in the boys category and 1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals in the Girls category. Finally they won the overall championship trophy. Paavai Engineering College topped the competitions , So they become eligible to participate in the upcoming all India universities competitions which is going to be held during December.
