The Department of Biomedical Engineering and Medical Electronics was organized an Industry guest lecture program on the title of “Scope and Opportunities of Biomedical Engineering”. The session was inaugurated at 1.30 p.m. by Dr.M.Prem Kumar Principal, in the presence of Head of the department – Biomedical Engineering and Medical Electronics, faculty members and the participants from departments of Biomedical Engineering and Medical Electronics. In his Presidential Address, the Principal highlighted the importance of the latest technology. The keynote address was given by the guest speaker Dr.S.Mangai, Professor and Head, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Velalar college of Engineering and Techonology, Erode. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the College for their support. He expressed his experience to a student which gave him confidence to face the interviews in worldwide outside the campus. The session was carried over on the title “Scope and Opportunities of Biomedical Engineering”. He shared the information about the importance of the medical engineering students in the companies. He told the student to Pay attention, give the speaker your undivided attention and acknowledge the message. Then he noted the various scope and opportunities in the various environments in the working area of medical engineering. The encouragement was given to all the students to participate in all the trainings in companies. Hospitals and in research areas. He gave the positive motivation to all the students to work at with a positive vibration. He rendered his heartfelt thanks to the Management, Head of the Department – Biomedical Engineering and Medical Electronics and the faculty members. Mr.M.Rajesh, second year Biomedical Engineering, welcomed the gathering. The chief guest introduction was performed by Ms.V.Sathya Priya second year Biomedical Engineering. Master of ceremony was organized by ms.V.Vasunthera Medical Electronics. The session ended around 4:30 p.m. with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr.S.Keerthana, second year Medical Electronics.
