Paavai Engineering College, Rasipuram conducted two days National Level Technical Symposium TECHFINIX’19 on 20th and 21stseptember 2019 organized by all departments of the college. On the 20.09.2019, the first day of TECHFINIX’19, Inauguration ceremony was held at Ananda Arangam. Dr.G.Bakthavathsalam, Chairman, KG Group of Institutions, Coimbatore was the chief guest and delivered inaugural address and Mr.B. GangadharaRao, General Manager-Electrical & Infra Division, IIGM Private Limited, Banglore was the Guest of Honor and delivered Keynote address. Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Institutions presided over the function. Smt.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Institutions inaugurated the function by lighting the kuthuvizhaku. Dr.K.K.Ramasamy Director-Admin, Mr.K.Senthil Kumar Director-Admission, Dr.C.Satish Director of Paavai Group of Schools, Dr.M.Premkumar Principal, Dr.B.Murali Babu Controller of Examinations , Deans of Paavai Institutions, Principals of other colleges in Paavai Institutions, Heads of the Various Departments, faculty members, students and delegates from other colleges participated in the inauguration ceremony. Ms.S.Sushmaa, Second Year, Civil Engineering, Paavai Engineering College welcomed the gathering. In the presidential address, Smt.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Institutions, enumerated the importance of changes in students mind in accordance with the changes in the society. She insisted the students to identify “who you are?” in order to bring out the hidden talents inside them. She further added students should be proud to be an ‘Engineer’ and should think innovatively to find solutions for real time problems. She also insisted them to learn the engineering concepts in depth and change themselves to view everything in scientific perspective. Dr.G.Bakthavathsalam, Chief Guest while delivering his inaugural address emphasized the evolution of technology for the upliftment of mankind. He particularly focused on the technologies in the medical field and gave a demo of how to perform CPR in order to save life of a person who underwent heart attack. Mr.B. GangadharaRao, Guest of Honor in addressing the gathering insisted that Indians are leading in various fields all over the world. So as to reach greater heights, students should make use of the symposiums as a platform to exhibit their talents. Therefore students should indulge in seeking knowledge and should invent new technologies in all field in order to do bring solutions to the problems arising in each field. In continuation, Smt.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent of Paavai Institutions released the souvenir of TECHFINIX’19. In this symposium, students from various engineering institutions and universities from all over Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states of Tamil Nadu had participated and presented research papers and exhibited their unique talents by showcasing their technical knowledge. Overall 600 papers were received from delegates of other institutions and 151 papers were selected for presentation. More than 45 events were conducted by all departments. After the completion of inauguration ceremony, delegates from various institutions participated in the technical events conducted by all departments.
