A one day webinar on the title “Erection of High Rise Building” was organized by Department of Civil Engineering, Paavai Engineering College on 05.08.2021.Ms. S.U.Sushmaa, Final year student welcomed the gathering. Mrs.K.Sharmiladevi, Head of the Department introduced the speaker and gave an overview about High Rise Building. Er.G.Sakthivel Kannan, General Manager-Projects, ICONICA Constructions, Bengaluru was the guest speaker. He explained about the need of high-rise building, materials used for the structural system and economic advantages of high-rise building. He also described about the sequence involved during the erection, various methods of erection and modern development of high-rise building in Construction field. Faculty members and students actively participated in the program and the queries from the students and faculties were effectively replied by the speaker. Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr.R.Surya, Third year student and our one day webinar was successfully concluded. The session was very informative and knowledge gainable.
