The Institution’s Innovation Council in association with the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Paavai Engineering College has organized an online webinar on “STARTUP DAY INITIATIVES“ through the Microsoft team’s platform on 30.11.2021 from3: 00p.m to 4:30p.m.
The first session started with a welcome address by Cherub Ebenezer, a third-year student of Computer Science and Engineering Department. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal and President of IIC gave his presidential address. In his address, he highlighted about the entrepreneurship and startups, Intellectual property rights, Innovation-A drive to the world.
Gayathri, from the third year CSE introduced the guest speaker Dr.S.Sumathi,HOD-MBA. The session continued with the speaker’s talk. In this session, she addressed about different successful entrepreneurs, their products or services, steps to begin a startup as an entrepreneur and about the e-commerce.
The second session started with introduction of guest speaker Dr.V.Subburam, Professor ,Mechanical by Dharanidharan, a second year student of Computer Science and Engineering .The topic of the session was “Innovation-A drive to the world”. In this session, he highlighted about Invention and Innovation. Driving innovation means something new and unknown, which is going to create a value. He also mentioned about the new innovations that are going to boom in the future using enhanced technologies.
The third session started with a introduction of guest speaker Dr.K.SundaraMurthy, Professor, Mechanical by Monal, a third year student of Computer science and Engineering. The topic of this session was “Intellectual Property Rights”. He started the session with the importance of Intellectual property rights (IPR). He also explained about the different types of Intellectual Property Rights in India He also enlightened with concepts of trademarks with few examples and also explained about copyrights. The session ended with the vote of thanks by Gopika, a third-year student of Computer science and Engineering Department. More than 100+ participants attended these sessions.
