The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and the Department of Information Technology at Paavai Engineering College jointly organized a guest lecture on “Blockchain Technologies” on July 1, 2024. Ms. A. Shalini, a second-year IT student, welcomed the gathering. Dr. M. Prem Kumar, Principal, presided over the function. In his presidential address, he emphasized the significance of Blockchain technologies, highlighting their role in preventing fraud and unauthorized activities. Dr. K. Saravanan, Deputy Director of the Center for University-Industry Collaboration (CUIC), College of Engineering, Anna University, Guindy Campus, served as the resource person.
Deans, Heads of Departments (HoDs), and faculty members from our institution actively participated in the session, sharing their ideas and opinions on Blockchain technologies. The discussion encompassed the future scope of Blockchain technology, including its applications in supply chain management, cloud storage, cybersecurity, and smart contracts.
The session attracted nearly 100 participants. Finally, Ms. C. Hemalatha, a second-year IT student, delivered the vote of thanks.
