The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with The Institution of Engineers (India) organised an Alumni guest lecture titled “Project Management and Scrum Roles” on 02.09.2023. The welcome address was given by Ms.P.Aasha of III ECE. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal gave the presidential address. In his address, he appreciated the alumni speaker and motivated the students to utilize this opportunity and be interactive during the session. Ms.S.Mabell Veronica, from III year ECE introduced the resource speakers.
Ms.S.Kaviya, Senior Test Analyst, Cognizant, Coimbatore was the resource speaker on. She briefed about the six roles in IT sectors like, Developers, Testing/Quality Analyst, Business Analyst, Devops Engineer, Product Owner and Scrum master with some examples. She explained the pros and cons of the project management. She also covered about the Scrum ceremonies. She ends with the types of companies like, product based and Service based companies. The students were able to acquaint themselves with the various roles and procedures for a project. The speaker encaged the session with interaction by giving chocolates to the students for correct answers. Students were attended the session very enthusiastically. Around 200 members participated in the Alumni guest lecture. Queries were clarified by the resource speaker and the Vote of Thanks was done by Ms.S.Loshika, III Year, ECE.
