A design software workshop by the title ‘DESIGN NOW” was hosted and organized by Paavai Engineeing College and supported by ICT ACADEMY for the students of Mechanical Enigneering department on 05.11.2022. In the full day training session, Fusion 360 software was taught to the stuents with hands-on practice. Fusion 360 is a cloud-based 3D modeling, CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB software platform for professional product design and manufacturing, developed by Auto desk.
In the inaugural function of the workshop, Dr.M. Premkumar, Principal of Paavai Engineering College, Mr.V.Prabu, Relationship Manager, ICT Academy and his team, Mr.N. Mohan Murali, Expert Trainer from Auto desk, Dr.A.P.Sivasubramaniam, Head of the Mechanical Engineering department and faculty members took part along with the students. Our final year Mechanical Engineering student, N.Selvaprabu welcomed the gathering and introduced the expert trainer.
The principal in his facilitation address told that software skill of the relevant field had become essential for students to secure good jobs. He further told that becoming well versed in Fusion 360 package would increase employability opportunities and help students to get high paying jobs. Moreover he urged students to utilize such opportunities to learn and update their skill sets and face the job market confidently.
