An Online Guest Lecture on “Artificial Intelligence in Drone Technology” was organized by the Department of Aeronautical Engineering on 24/08/2022 between 10.00 AM To 11.00 AM. Prof V.Saravana Kumar, Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore was the Guest Speaker. The objective of the event was to familiarize the students with the scope of A.I in drone technology and the various rules and regulations required to pilot drones. The Welcome address and chief guest introduction was delivered by Ms.S.Meyyazhagi, student of Final Year Aeronautical Engineering. Faculty members and students of actively participated in the event.
Prof V.Saravana Kumar elaborated on the concepts and practices involved in the unmanned aerial vehicle design and analysis with an emphasis on the industrial standards. In his address, he explained about the various Artificial Intelligence technologies that are currently being used in the design phase of Drones. He also briefed about the drone rules in India and the scope for career opportunities in drone sector. In the end of the session, he answered the questions of the participants.
The session ended with a vote of thanks by Ms.Premiga of Final Year Aeronautical Engineering. The event was convened by Professor & Head, Dr.R.Arravind and Co-ordinated by Assistant Professor Mr.K.Gokulnath. All the participated faculty members and students found the program very useful. At the end, Ms.G.Premiga of Final Year Aeronautical Engineering delivered the Vote of Thanks.
