The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized an online Alumni Guest Lecture on“ESSENTIAL SKILLS TO ACE INTERVIEWS“on 05thJune 2022 at 05.30p.m.through the Microsoft Teams platform. Mr.Manish Kumar Singh, Automation Manager, Accenture (North America), NJ, USA was the Alumni speaker.The welcome address was given by Dr.R.MohanPriya, Associate Professor, ECE and V.Shanmathi from second-year ECE introduced the Alumni speaker.
The objective of organizing the alumni guest lecture was to create an awareness among the students about developing their interview skills. In the presidential address, Principal Dr.M.Prem Kumar addressed that “Alumni are the greatest backbone of any Institution”. He also insisted on opening an alumni chapter in other countries. Followed with it, the alumnus explained about interview preparation for software and core companies. He explained the expectation of interviewers from student’s side. He gave a lot of ideas to ace interviews during placement. He also stressed the importance of the core subjects that students need to focus on during their course of study. Finally queries were posted and it was clarified by the alumnus.
The vote of thanks was delivered by G.Anbarasan from third-year ECE. Dr.M.Sudha, Professor and Head, ECE,Mr.S.Sathish, Department Alumni Coordinator, Dr.R.MohanaPriya,ASP,ECE and Mr.S.Loganatha Association coordinators, faculty members and 60 students were present in the meeting. As per the feedback received from the students, it was useful for placement and skills development.
