Growing Coders Club (GCC) of the Department of Information Technology organized an event “TECHNOPHILIA TECHNICAL EVENT’23” on 12.10.23 at Kalam’s Chamber. The event started with the prayer song. The event was presided over by Dr.B.Venkatesan, Head of the Department, IT. The First event was ‘Word Hike ’. More than 50 teams of various department students participated in the first round of the competition. It is a technical puzzle, the teams had to solve the puzzle. There were 20 teams shortlisted for the second event. The selected team was announced by the jury Mrs.M.Pushpalatha Associate Professor of Information Technology. The second event was ‘Pick to Pro ’. In that event the participant should arrange the program syntax by using the given syntax cards. The jury of that event was Mrs.M.Saranya AP/IT. The shortlisted 10 teams competed for the third event ‘Shape Shooter ’. It was an online technical quiz out of which 5 teams were selected for the final round. The jury of this event was Mrs.P.Anitha AP/IT.
The final event was ‘Tech war ’. The technical debate about the topic ‘Chatgpt – upgrade my skills or downgrade my skills ’ and the jury of the event was Dr.G.Madasamy Raja Professor of Information Technology. All the events were successfully completed. The prizes and certificates were given to the winners by our most respected Principal sir Dr.M.Premkumar,PEC. Finally Ms.K.Sowmiya of Final year/IT proposed the vote of thanks.
