An online Webinar on “Understanding Artificial Intelligence: Foundations and Concepts” was organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous), Namakkal on 31 August 2023.
The Online webinar programme started in the presence of Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, Dr.M.Sudha, HoD, ECE, Mr. M.Murugan, Community Program Manager, GUVI, Mr.Raja Vasanthan, CEO of Grids and Guides and Master Mentor at GUVI, Chennai and Faculty members, along with more than 400 student participants of all departments of Paavai Engineering College.
In the presidential address, Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College addressed that Artificial Intelligence is the need of the hour. He also appreciated the efforts taken by the department in organising such a webinar.
The session was carried over by the Expert speaker Mr.Raja Vasanthan, CEO of Grids and Guides and Master Mentor at GUVI in which he gave a brief introduction about uses and applications of AI. He discussed about Artificial Intelligence based GUVI Hackathons, Main Bootcamps and Training Methodology. He elucidated about the AI for India 2.0 techniques.
Mr.M.Murugan, Community Program Manager, GUVI, Chennai welcomed the attendees and Mr.P.Naveen, III Year B.E. ECE introduced the expert speaker to the attendees. Mrs.A.Samundeeswari, AsP, ECE, Faculty Coordinator proposed the vote of thanks.
