The department of Cyber Security has organized a Guest Lecture on “Converting Innovation into a Startup” on 29 February 2024 between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m, at BRIGHT HALL, Paavai Engineering College. The program’s objective is to how one can involve developing new technologies, business models, or ways of delivering value to customers.
The welcome address was given by Kumarjeyanth K 3rd year cyber security. Dr. M. Premkumar, principal, gave the presidential address and motivated the students about the various national and international grants received by students of Pavaai Engineering College of various departments in the past academic years. The Guest Speaker was introduced by K. Kabilan, 3rd year/Cyber Security. The lecture was given by Mr. S. Vivek, Cyber Security Officer/CEO, Ozone Cyber Security, Trichy, educated the students about how the new innovation and ideas are converted in to startups. During his session, he has imported the significance of the Shodan website, which is helpful as it allows you to find more information. Also discussed about the Phonesploit which is a tool this can fully hack an Android smartphone by automatically creating, installing, and running a payload on the target device using the Metasploit Framework and ADB.
He also conveyed information about various open source tools in cyber security, such as Zphisher, the Social Engineering Toolkit, etc., as well as various facts on initiating a new business. The guest speaker answered the queries raised by the students practically. The faculty members, along with 85 students actively participating and benefited. The feedback from the students indicate that they motivated and benefited by this lecture. The session ended with a vote of thanks delivered by L. Kumaresan 3rd year cyber Security.
