A speech competition was organized by Paavai speakers Club on 23.04.24 for the students of Paavai engineering institutions.
It sounds like an interesting competition! Having Dr. Hepsi Rachel Chellarani, the Principal of Paavai Nursing College, as the Chief Guest would have surely added value with her insights on speaking skills and stage presence. It’s crucial for budding engineers to not only excel in technical aspects but also in communication, as it plays a significant role.
“Pavai Talkathon-24” seems like quite the event, especially with around 50 eager participants! It’s great to see so many students willing to step up and showcase their speaking abilities. The format of the first round, where each student had to speak for 180 seconds on their chosen topic, sounds like a good way to gauge their confidence, clarity, and ability to articulate their thoughts effectively.
It’s impressive that out of the 50 participants, 15 were selected for the second round by the juries, Dr. R. Mohanapriya and Mr. J. Sujithkumar. It’s also heartening to hear that the competition was beneficial to the participants, evident from their enthusiasm during interactions. Competitions like these not only provide a platform for students to showcase their skills but also foster personal and professional development.
