The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in association with The Institution of Engineers (India), Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), and New Technologies, Coimbatore, organized a Guest Lecture on “Interplay between Cloud Computing and DevOps Practices” on 20.03.2025. The session aimed to impart key concepts of Cloud Computing to students.
The welcome address was delivered by Ms. K. Meera, III Year ECE, and the introduction of the resource speaker was presented by Ms. G. Nithyasree, III Year ECE.
The resource person, Er. S. Tamilventhan, B.E., Manager and Senior Cloud Architect, KPMG Global Services Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, began the session by introducing the fundamentals of Cloud Computing.
The lecture was designed to provide students and faculty with a foundational understanding of Cloud Computing, its core concepts, and the latest advancements in the field. It also highlighted the synergy between Cloud Computing and DevOps practices.
Er. Tamilventhan actively engaged the audience by discussing career opportunities in Cloud Computing, the prerequisites for entering the field, and offered insights on how ECE students can transition into Cloud Engineers. He also addressed various queries related to the topic and offered career guidance.
The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. B. Thrisha, III Year ECE.

Dr. R. Mohana Priya, Associate Professor and Head, ECE, attended the lecture along with other faculty members of the department.
