The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with Indian Society for technical Education (ISTE) had organized an online guest Lecture on“DIGITAL DESIGN PROCESS AND TECHNOLOGY”on 16thMay 2022 at 10.00 p.m. through the Microsoft Teams platform. Mr.M.Theiventhiran, Digital Design Engineer, Synopsys Private India Limited, Bangalore was the resource speaker.The welcome address was given by Dr.M.Sudha, HoD, ECE and Dr.K.Selvi, Principal, Pavai College of Technology gave the presidential address. Ms.K.Aishwarya from third year ECE introduced the resource speaker.
Followed with it, the resource speaker explained about digital design evolution,stages and digital design in modern era.He also explained about the VLSI design flow. He elucidated about the transformation of an idea into specification and the contributors in digital design field such as Panasonic, Qualcomm, Samsung etc., He also explained about the architecture of Micro design and its timing diagram. He also shared few examples related to digital design.
Finally,he clarified the queries posted by the students and the vote of thanks was delivered by Krishnaveni from third-year ECE. Dr.M.Sudha, Professor and Head, ECE, Dr.R.MohanaPriya and Mr.S.Loganthan, Association Coordinators, faculty members and around 110 students were present in the meeting. As per the feedback received from the students, it was a useful session wherein they had an idea about the various digital design process and technologies.
