Paavai Engineering College and Talent Quest for India have organised a guest lecture on the title “Career opportunities on Indian Armed Forces” on 05.10.2023 from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm, Mr.Sarvana Selvan, Assistant Commandant(Retired), Indian Coast Guard, was the resource speaker. The function started with the prayer song followed by the welcome address by Janani from third-year Information Technology, Paavai Engineering College. Dr.I.Rajendran, Dean Research and Innovation of Paavai Engineering College added his presidential address.
He shared his thoughts about Armed forces and insisted the students to know the positive perspective of armed forces in India. The chief guest introduction was given by Aarthi from third-year CSE, Paavai Engineering College. The chief guest thanked the Paavai Engineering College for the support and cooperation..
The guest speaker started sharing his knowledge of armed forces to the students.He first started describing about the 4 divisions of Indian Defence. He then motivated the students by playing on some videos that illustrates the effort of Armed forces in India. He continued the talk by explaining both the pre and post-benefits of armed forces. He also clearly explained the difference between Commissioned officer and Jawans.
The resource speaker addressed the students, about the ways of entry into the armed forces. Students enthusiastically interacted in the session by asking their doubts to the guest speaker. As the guest speaker is the Programme Head of Vizhi awakening trust, which entrusts the people who have a idea to join the armed forces and other civil works in India, he also added few to it. At last he collected the students those who are interested in armed forces and he insisted that he will guide them to be an officer. The session ended with a Vote of thanks by Rathika third-year ECE, Paavai Engineering College. Mr.S.Sathish, TQI Coordinator along with faculty members and 104 students attended the session.
