The Electronics club of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has organized an event – “ELECTRO FINDER” on 17thDecember 2021 from 02.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. for the circuit branches of ECE, CSE, IT, EEE, BME, ME, MCT and Cyber Security. Dr.R.Mohana Priya, Associate Professor and Mr.Ravisankar Kandasamy, Assistant Professor, Electronics Club coordinators along with student coordinators Sathyanarayanan.S from final year, G.Anbarasan from the third year and G.Kannan from the second year ECE organized the event.
The event comprised of three rounds namely Picture Observation, Description of Electronic appliances and project components identification. 26 batches participated in the first round out of which11 batches were shortlisted in the 2nd round and finally 5 batches were selected in the 3rd round. The first round took place in the Main building seminar hall and students were made to observe the picture and answer the questions which were asked. The second round was conducted in Room No:213 where the shortlisted batches were displayed with different electronic appliances and made to identify the names and their explanation. The third round was conducted in the Digital electronics Laboratory. In the third-round students were given a project kit and asked to identify the components. K.Sudharsan and S.B. Hariharan from the second year Cyber Security bagged the first place, .Muthu Pandian and Naveen Chakaravarthi from the second year ECE bagged the 2nd place and S.Sakthi and S.Snega from the third year ECE got 3rd place.. The winners were distributed with a certificate at the end of the session.
Finally, the vote of thanks was given by R.Akalya from final year ECE. Dr.R.Mohana Priya and Mr.Ravisankar Kandasamy, Electronics Club coordinators, faculty members and more than 100 participants were present at the event. As per the feedback received from the students, this Electro Finder was a technical event, where students were made to analyze and recollect their basic subjects.
