The Institution’s Innovation Council(IIC) in association with Entrepreneurship Development Cell & Crescent Innovation and Incubation Council CIIC celebrated “World Creativity and Innovation Day” by organising a Workshop on AI-ML & IIOT on 26.04.2024 at 10.00 a.m. Dr.R.MohanaPriya, IIC Convener welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource speaker. Dr.M.PremKumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College presided over the function. He highlighted the importance of innovation and creativity among today’s generation students. He emphasised that youngsters should grow independently and focus on start-up ecosystem and other funding agencies to move towards their goal in life. Dr.I.Rajendiran, Dean, Research and Innovation, Paavai Engineering College gave the inaugural address. Mr.T.Vigneshwaran, Founder and CEO, Sri Nandha Infotech Pvt Ltd, Chennai was the resource speaker.
In his session, the resource speaker emphasized the importance of Innovation cycle and the various phases of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He elucidated about the various algorithms used in ML, technology innovation related topics in IoT and the different ways to start a business and become an entrepreneur. He also gave a gist of the projects that could be carried out using AIML and IoT concepts. Queries were posted by the participants and clarified by the speaker. It was conducted in Kalams Chamber and around 170 students from Paavai Engineering College and 30 external participants attended the session. Dr.P.Pugalenthi, ASP, Mechanical, Dr.R.Mohana Priya, IIC Convener and Mr.S.Gowtham Kumar from Food Technology were the coordinators.
