The Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Medino in association with Institutions Innovation Council (IIC-PEC) has conducted a one-day workshop on “Problem Solving and Ideation” on 07.11.2023 (Tuesday). The Students of Pharmaceutical Technology and EDC volunteers from all departments attended the session. The resource person of the day Mr. D. Ashok Kumar, M. Pharm, Clinical Data Analyst, Gradclinic Pvt Ltd., Bangalore enlightened the students with his thought-provoking session. He insisted the student to address the problem and try to create a unique innovative solution. He gave a detailed speak on his journey while starting his career in clinical research field. He also addressed that clinical research is a field where new solutions were found for existing problems. The workshop was focused mainly on clinical data analysis. The role of clinical data analyst was explained in detailed. He also stated the importance of SAS programming, R programming, SQL and python in clinical data management and problem solving in clinical field. The steps for processing all type of clinical data includes data access, data exploration, data preparation and analyzing and reporting the data in required format. Finally, the students interacted with the guest speaker then and there with their queries and illuminated themselves.
